Courtney Bromwich

Artistic Director, Sawnee Ballet Theatre

Owner & Director, Sawnee School of the Arts

Courtney Bromwich began her formal dance training in Marietta, Georgia, at Dance Stop Studios. Her passion for dance continued through her collegiate years, where she trained with Brenau University, Gainesville Ballet, Kris Cangelosi Dance Project, and Ruth Mitchell’s Georgia Dance Conservatory.

In 2000, she discovered her true calling as a teacher at the Sawnee School of Ballet under the mentorship of founder Joan Kall Stewart. There, she refined her ability to train dancers of all ages and developed a deep appreciation for the impact of strong arts education.

Ms. Bromwich has been a respected dancer, teacher, and choreographer in the metro Atlanta area for more than 20 years. In 2007, she joined the faculty of the dance program at Kennesaw State University as a guest tap instructor. Already holding a B.A. in Business Management, she later returned to KSU to pursue her B.A. in Dance.

After a five-year hiatus, Ms. Bromwich returned to Sawnee Ballet in 2011 and became Owner and Director of the school the following year.

In 2017, she was named Artistic Director of Sawnee Ballet Theatre. Since then, she has continued to grow and enrich the company, launching a full creative redesign of The Nutcracker with updated costumes, choreography, and staging. She has also expanded SBT’s spring repertoire to include beloved classics such as Peter and the Wolf, Alice in Wonderland, and The Tales of Beatrix Potter.

Ms. Bromwich is an active member of the local and national arts community. She serves on the Dance Festival Advisory Board at Kennesaw State University and the FoCAL Center Advisory Council. She is also a member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) and Dance Studio Owners (DSO).

In addition to Ms. Bromwich’s leadership, Sawnee Ballet Theatre is supported by a dedicated team of talented instructors, choreographers, and administrative staff. Each brings a unique background and deep passion for dance education, performance, and community engagement. Their commitment to excellence helps ensure that every dancer receives exceptional training and that each production reflects the highest artistic standards.
