Meet Our Dancers

Clara Rogers

Clara Rogers is a senior at Forsyth Central High School and is enrolled in the STEM Program. She has been dancing for 15 years, and this is her second year as an SBT Company dancer. She also brings 7 years of competitive dance experience, performing in a variety of styles including ballet, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and jazz. Her favorite styles are lyrical and contemporary, where she feels she can best express both emotion and artistry.

Clara’s favorite part of SBT is getting to share the art of dance and performance with the community alongside her friends. Her most treasured company memory is performing in The Nutcracker this past year, where she experienced the magic of bringing this timeless story to life on stage.

Beyond the studio, Clara is highly involved in academics and leadership. She serves as a service officer in HOSA, an officer in the National Science Honor Society, and is a member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, FCA, and Women in STEM. She also participates in the Internship Forsyth program, where she interns at a hospital each morning during the school week. In addition, she enjoys babysitting and specializes in caring for medically fragile children, and she serves as a youth group leader at her church on Sunday mornings. In her free time, she enjoys reading her Bible, spending time with friends, and watching movies. After high school, Clara plans to attend college on the pre-med track and ultimately pursue medical school to become a psychiatrist.

She would like to thank God, her parents, friends, and teachers for their constant support and for making her dance journey possible.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
