Meet Our Dancers

Eva Karneyenka

Eva is a senior at West Forsyth High School. She has been dancing for 15 years and is in her sixth year as an SBT Company dancer. Her favorite style is contemporary, and her most cherished memories include the 2022 SBT lock-in and spending time backstage with friends during Nutcracker performances. Eva loves the community and friendships she’s built through SBT, along with the opportunities to grow as a dancer and artist.

Outside of the studio, she is completing the Healthcare pathway at school and is an active member of HOSA, NTHS, NHS, and NEHS. Eva works as a design assistant for an interior design company and volunteers regularly. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Georgia to study exercise and sport science, with hopes of becoming a physical therapist for dancers and staying connected to the dance world.

In her free time, she enjoys shopping, listening to music, and spending time with friends. Eva’s favorite color is blue, and a fun fact about her is that she’s a big fan of Radiohead, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains.

She would like to thank her parents for their continued support, and Miss Courtney and the SBT faculty for inspiring her to be the best dancer and person she can be.

“You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it.” – Johnny Cash
