Evie Shrout

Evie Shrout is a senior at East Forsyth High School and has been dancing for 13 years. This is her fifth year as an SBT Company dancer. Her favorite style of dance is contemporary ballet. One of her most treasured dance memories is making Company for the first time, a milestone that marked an important step in her dance journey.

Evie’s favorite part of SBT is working together as a team to create beautiful, professional performances on stage. She has furthered her training by attending summer intensives at Brenau University in Gainesville and the Joffrey Ballet School in Miami.

Beyond the studio, Evie is involved in BETA Club and theater tech at school. She enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and listening to music. Her favorite color is green, and she has a pet snake named Salazar Slytherin. After high school, she plans to attend Brenau University to double major in Psychology and Dance, with hopes of becoming a clinical counselor specializing in dance movement therapy.

She would like to thank her parents and grandmother for supporting her love of dance, as well as Miss Joanie for founding Sawnee School of Ballet and Sawnee Ballet Theatre and for being her first ballet teacher.
