Sophie Nelson

Sophie is a sophomore at Saint John Bosco Academy and has been dancing for 10 years. This is her fourth year as an SBT Company dancer. Her favorite style of dance is lyrical, and she especially enjoys creating fun turning combinations.

As the youngest of three children, Sophie loves spending time with her siblings, making coffee runs, and watching Gilmore Girls. She treasures her SBT dance family and enjoys chatting with “D Dog” at the front desk before and after class. Sophie is grateful for the excellent training she receives at Sawnee School of the Arts and appreciates the variety of classes offered.

Outside of dance, Sophie enjoys reading, baking, listening to music, and spending time with friends. Her favorite colors are red and blue. A fun fact about her is that she'll eat anything with Tajin on it. After high school, she hopes to attend the University of Alabama and join their dance team.

Sophie would like to thank Miss Courtney for working so hard to develop an amazing company; her friends for encouraging her to do the right thing and grow closer to God; and her mom and dad for supporting her dance journey.
